THE GLORY OF LOVE - by Billy Hill (1936) ----------------------------------- You've got to give a little, take a little, let your poor heart break a little. That's the story of, that's the glory of love. You've got to laugh a little, cry a little, Let the clouds roll by a little. That's the story of, that's the glory of love. As long as there's the two of us, We've got the world and all it's charms. And when the world is through with us, We've got each other's arms. You've got to win a little, lose a little, Yes, and always have the blues a little. That's the story of, that's the glory of love. You've got to give a little, take a little, Let your poor heart break a little That's the story of, that's the glory of love.

MY WHISKEY’S IN BROOKLYN, BUT MY BABY’S IN HARLEM by Gabe Terracciano (2020) ----------------------------------- Now I love New York City I love the way it never sleeps But my whiskey’s in Brooklyn, and my baby’s in Harlem All that distance makes me weep Whether it’s scotch, rye or bourbon I’ll take it on the rocks or neat But my whiskey’s in Brooklyn, my baby’s in Harlem And I’ll never be complete Uptown, Downtown Subways whizzing by Transfer trains at 42nd Street How can anyone do this dry? Now Prospect Park is pretty But Mount Morris has my troth My whiskey’s in Brooklyn, but my baby’s in Harlem Why can’t I have both? She says live with me in Harlem And I said the rents too high With the books I’ve been cooking I’m living in Brooklyn to afford my whiskey and rye Now Fulton Street sure is hopping But Lenox has my boo My whiskey’s in Brooklyn, and my baby’s in Harlem What’s a good looking man to do

DON'T FENCE ME IN - by Cole Porter (1934) ----------------------------------- Oh, give me land, lots of land under starry skies above Don't fence me in Let me ride through the wide open country that I love Don't fence me in Let me be by myself in the evenin' breeze And listen to the murmur of the cottonwood trees Send me off forever but I ask you please Don't fence me in Just turn me loose, let me straddle my old saddle Underneath the western skies On my cayuse, let me wander over yonder Till I see the mountains rise I want to ride to the ridge where the West commences And gaze at the moon till I lose my senses And I can't look at hobbles and I can't stand fences Don't fence me in Oh, give me land, lots of land under starry skies above Don't fence me in Let me ride through the wide open country that I love Don't fence me in Let me be by myself in the evenin' breeze And listen to the murmur of the cottonwood trees Send me off forever but I ask you please Don't fence me in Just turn me loose, let me straddle my old saddle Underneath the western skies On my cayuse, let me wander over yonder Till I see the mountains rise I want to ride to the hills where the West commences And gaze at the moon till I lose my senses And I can't look at hobbles and I can't stand fences Don't fence me in

I WISH YOU LOVE music & lyrics by Charles Trenet & Albert Askew Beach (1942) ----------------------------------- I wish you bluebirds in the spring To give your heart a song to sing And then a kiss But more than this I wish you love And in July a lemonade To cool you in some leafy glade I wish you health But more than wealth I wish you love My breaking heart and I agree That you and I could never be So with my best, my very best I set you free I wish you shelter from the storm A cozy fire to keep you warm But most of all When snowflakes fall I wish you love

FIVE O'CLOCK COFFEE by Gabe Terracciano (2021) ----------------------------------- Well I was getting through my daily grind, working at a dead-end job I was tired, weary, exhausted…and my head was starting to throb A friend of mine…called me up…said he had just what I’d need Just a little something to clear my mind and ease my misery 5 O’clock Coffee! (5 O’clock Coffee!) 5 O’clock Coffee! (5 O’clock Coffee!) 5 O’clock Coffee! It’ll make you feel alright. Well his promises caught me unawares, and I didn’t know what to say I knew coffee well in the morning time, but not so much later in the day I said man, come on! I don’t need caffeine, just a one-way trip to bed! But he wouldn’t let up, said he had the stuff to help me keep my head. 5 O’clock Coffee! (5 O’clock Coffee!) 5 O’clock Coffee! (5 O’clock Coffee!) 5 O’clock Coffee! It’ll make you feel alright. Well I finally relented, and I said ok, I’d come out and have some drip Told myself I wouldn’t have that much, maybe just a little sip. But when I met my friend that night, I didn’t see a pot or mug Just the open doors to a swingin’ bar and folks drinking out of a jug 5 O’clock Coffee! (5 O’clock Coffee!) 5 O’clock Coffee! (5 O’clock Coffee!) 5 O’clock Coffee! It’ll make you feel alright. Well I looked around, and heard the sound of people havin’ a ball Ya know the Booze was flowin’, and I was knowin’ there wasn’t no coffee at all! All of a sudden I was holding a glass that someone had filled with cheer You know it only took one sip ‘til I was grinnin’ from ear to ear! 5 O’clock Coffee! (5 O’clock Coffee!) 5 O’clock Coffee! (5 O’clock Coffee!) 5 O’clock Coffee! It’ll make you feel alright. 5 O’clock Coffee! (5 O’clock Coffee!) 5 O’clock Coffee! (5 O’clock Coffee!) 5 O’clock Coffee! It’ll make you feel alright.

about

We call these recordings our QUARANTINE TRACKS since they were created throughout the pandemic. The band’s last gig before lockdown was Friday, March 13, 2020. As quarantine stretched on, we were all eager to find a way to make music. In July 2020 we chose a selection of tunes, and each musician recorded and videoed themselves at home. Each solo part was then mixed and edited together by Patrick Soluri. Only “I Wish You Love” was recorded live on a secret rooftop and the only time the band played together in person mid-pandemic. In total we did nine tracks, all with videos, releasing on average one per month. While difficult and isolating, this time brought the band “together” and these Quarantine Tracks helped us discover our sound and unique identity. We chose six tracks for this, our first EP... so swing-out, dunk a bagel, and enjoy your Five O’clock Coffee!

* The digital album is sold on Bandcamp at full studio quality (48k/24bit). All other streaming services & platforms are at 44.1k/16bit (CD quality).
